Current Project:
Genome scale metabolic modeling of Dehalococcoides sp. strain CBDB1. This project involves the reconstruction of the entire metabolic network of Dehalococcoides sp. strain CBDB1 from its genome sequence and using this reconstructed network as a scaffold, developing a genome-scale metabolic model for strain CBDB1 to investigate its metabolic capability as the organisms of this genus have a unique niche in bioremediation of chlorinated solvent contaminated sites.
