Current Project:
Her research project involves expanding the current model of metabolism in the human brain to include the baroreflex pathway. Various physiological conditions, such as hypertension and hypoxia, will then be simulated in order to determine how the neurons and astrocytes function under these stressful circumstances. This knowledge is beneficial for determining the severity of the effects of these conditions on energy metabolism in the brain.
