The Massey Dialogues – All hands on deck: Banding together against COVID-19

This Dialogue will be hosted by Paul Chen (ChemE PhD candidate), a Junior Fellow pursuing his PhD in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry. Paul will be joined in conversation with Senior Fellow Dr. Natasha Crowcroft from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, and Flavio Volpe, President of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association.

This episode of the Massey Dialogues discusses key aspects of this all-hands-on-deck response. For a more unique perspective, we look not just at what we know or what we are doing to respond, but how our response has, and will, come together. Through discussion with our distinguished guests, we will explore a range of topics, from learning how our public health and healthcare systems were constructed to confront pandemic diseases to hearing the collaborative efforts that are vital towards producing ventilators, personal protective equipment and other medical supplies at-scale. Through this conversation, viewers will better understand the scope of our country’s response, the behind-the-scenes actions being taken to help us move towards the best-case scenarios and how collaboration can help overcome immense challenges.
