Student Groups

We are proud of the friendly and supportive atmosphere of our Department and our very active student groups.  Throughout your studies, fellow students, faculty, and staff are there to ease the transition into the Department and help you navigate through the system.

Chemical Engineering Graduate Students’ Association (CEGSA)

Our very active graduate student association, CEGSA, serves as a liaison between the graduate student body and the Department, Faculty Council, and the Teaching Assistants Union (Local 3902 of CUPE).  CEGSA holds many popular social events and participates in intramural sports.  All graduate students of the Department are automatically members.

Troost ILead Graduate

We recognize that fulfilling distinct and important role that engineers play in society requires than technical expertise – it takes leadership.  The Troost Institute for Leadership Education in Engineering (Troost ILead) provides the opportunity for Engineering students to develop the self-awareness, team, communication and leadership skills needed for the 21st century.

Graduate Student Union (GSU)

Union for graduate students manages the Graduate Student Health and Dental Plan and other benefits, the GSU Pub, and represents graduate students on variety of student and university committees.
