On Saturday, May 31, the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry welcomed alumni and their families back to campus for a vibrant and heartwarming reunion in the Chem Common Room. The event offered a chance to reconnect, reflect, and celebrate the department’s dynamic community.

Throughout the afternoon, alumni engaged with current undergraduate and graduate students who shared poster presentations highlighting their research and course-based design projects. These interactions sparked thoughtful conversations, mentorship opportunities, and a renewed sense of connection between past and present members of the department.
Faculty and staff were on hand to greet returning graduates and provide tours of our laboratory spaces. It was a wonderful occasion to showcase the department’s progress while honoring its history.

“The strength of our department lies in the lasting relationships we build,” said Professor Ramin Farnood, Chair of the Department. “It was a pleasure to see so many alumni reconnecting with one another and engaging with our students. Events like this remind us of the powerful legacy and future of our ChemEng community.”

We thank all who joined us and look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
