A highlight of the conference was Christiana Anih receiving the award for Best Oral Presentation. This recognition celebrates the strength, quality and impact of research being conducted in the Food Engineering Lab.

“I am truly honoured to receive this award,” said Anih. “Presenting our research at CFEC was an incredible experience, and it was exciting to engage with students, researchers and industry professionals from across Canada. Conferences like CFEC provide a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from others in the field and showcase the innovative work being done in our lab.”

The team also expressed sincere gratitude to Professor Diosady for his continued mentorship and support, which made their participation in the conference possible. His encouragement of student research and professional development continues to create valuable opportunities for members of the Food Engineering Lab to present their work, connect with the broader research community and gain meaningful conference experience.

The Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry congratulates Christiana on this outstanding achievement and applauds all members of the Food Engineering Lab for representing the University of Toronto at this year’s conference!
