Congratulations to ChemE PhD student Andrew Paton who is part of Professor Tim Bender‘s research group and has received one of this year’sHeffernan Commercialization Fellowships for his innovative work on improving the energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness of LED lights and solar cells using organic semi-conductors. The fellowship program supports students whose work holds promise for commercialization, and provides financial support and mentorship to help them develop their ideas into viable businesses.
