On November 5, 2025 the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry welcomed several Grade 9 students for ‘Take Our Kids to Work Day’ at the University of Toronto.
The students visited the Unit Operations Laboratory, where they got a hands-on look at how chemical engineers design and operate real-world processes. By all accounts, they had a great time touring the facilities and learning about the exciting possibilities in chemical engineering.
We hope the experience sparked their curiosity—and maybe even inspired a few future chemical engineers!
Participants included Rachel Wosnick (daughter of Jordan Wosnick), Ella Milczarek (daughter of Phil Milczarek) and Hayley Liang (daughter of Ivy Yang).
