Application Procedures

Complete the School of Graduate Studies Online Application, and pay the application fee.

Two references are required for MEng applications, and these references are collected electronically through the School of Graduate Studies Online Application.  Therefore, we do not accept reference letters (i.e., paper documents) that are sent by mail, email, or fax.

Referees must use an official institutional email address when submitting their reference.

Applicants may submit a scanned copy of their transcripts through the School of Graduate Studies Online Application, and these will be used when considering admission.  If admitted, official transcripts will be required before the start of the program.  Transcripts are considered official when they have been prepared, sealed in an envelope and signed over the back flap by an official at the issuing institution.  Transcripts are to be sent to the Admissions Committee in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry.

Degrees from Outside Canada

Check the Minimum Admission Requirements page for details.

English Language Proficiency (ELP) Testing

Our English Language Proficiency requirements are different than those mentioned on the SGS Admissions Application System. You are responsible for meeting our requirements as listed on the Minimum Admission Requirements page.

Scores are to be sent electronically directly from the test centre or organization (TOEFL, IELTS, COPE) to the university.

Applicants are not required to have met this requirement at the time they apply, however if admitted this requirement must be met before the start of the program. When applying, you must enter an ELP test date. If you have not taken an ELP test yet, you can enter an anticipated ELP test date.
