Transfers between MEng programs
MEng students in their first session of study may:
- transfer from the part-time to full-time MEng program (or vice versa)
- transfer from the full-time to extended full-time MEng program (or vice versa)
Such requests must be completed before November 1 (for students starting in Fall) or before February 1 (for students starting in Winter).
Please consult the MEng Advisor for more information. Please also note that all program transfer requests are subject to SGS’ final approval, and requests submitted after the deadline will be considered only in extraordinary circumstances.
Transfers from MEng to MASc
Transfers from the MEng program to the MASc program are considered on a case-by-case basis, typically when 5 or fewer half-credit (H) courses have been completed in the MEng program. Transfers from the MEng program to the PhD program are only considered in exceptional circumstances.
Entering the PhD Program directly after completing the MEng
Students who complete an MEng and wish to begin a PhD in the department immediately after finishing their MEng are to apply for PhD admission through the SGS online application system. Please contact the Graduate Assistant for information on the most expedient way to apply for admission.
