Over the last two weeks, ChemE kicked-off the 2022-23 academic year with a series of orientation activities.
Events on September 7, introduced new undergrad and grad students to our community of leaders who make ChemE the best chemical engineering program in Canada and among the top in the world.
Second-year and third-year students were welcomed back on September 8, 14, and 15. They were provided with critical safety training in preparation for their labs, including work in our Unit Operations Laboratory – a hallmark of our program since 1949.
In his welcome address to our students, ChemE Chair Ramin Farnood remarked on the supportive culture within our department and the vital role that we each play. “Let’s continue to be there for each other as we embark on this new term.”
To all students, please feel free to reach out to your professors, ChemE staff, peers, and Professor Farnood to share your thoughts, ideas, and feedback. “We are here to help you have the best experience possible.”
Enrolment for the 2022-23 academic year at ChemE includes 597 undergraduate students and 243 graduate students. Click here to view photos from our orientation events.
