With her scientific achievements and research contribution to the field of wood science, Professor Ning Yan has been elected a Fellow of the International Academy of Wood Science (IAWS: the Academy).
Professor Yan is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Bioproducts, Distinguished Professor in Forest Biomaterials Engineering and the Director of Low Carbon Renewable Materials Centre. She specializes in forest-based biomaterials science and composites, bio-based adhesives and adhesion, digital printing, and surface sciences of paper.
IAWS is a non-profit assembly of wood scientists, recognizing all fields of wood science with their associated technological domains, and securing a worldwide representation (iaws-web.org).
