U of T Engineering and Ford partnership introduces new sustainable material into the automotive industry

A collaboration between U of T Engineering and Ford Canada led by Professor Mohini Sain (cross-appointed to ChemE) has produced a new, sustainably-sourced material that reduces high-performance vehicle emissions. 

The new material reduces emissions and improves fuel efficiency through displacing fossil fuel-derived plastics with renewable alternatives that can be recycled as well as through decreasing vehicle weight.
