Alumna Jeanette Southwood named Honorary Captain by Royal Canadian Navy

Alumna Jeanette Southwood (ChemE 8T6, ChemE MASc 8T8) was named an Honorary Captain (Navy) of the Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Scott by the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

Canadians who receive this an honorary designation are appointed by the Minister of National Defence and are leaders in their respective fields and take on the role of ambassador for the RCN to the Canadian people as a whole.

Honorary Captains come from all across the nation and are an integral part of the Navy family, each one committed to making a difference for Canada through their support of the RCN. Southwood is one of 24 Honorary Captains from across Canada.
